There is a lot of demand for people with
data science knowledge, which I personally define as someone with
coding, math and statistical know-how and a good understanding of
business. Unlike what's written all over the web having every single
skill in every single area is not necessary, I would even go as far as
saying that it is impossible. This diversification of skills actually
makes it even worse since a hiring manager
has to find someone with the specific group of skills needed for a
particular job description.

- Existing data scientists are really rare.
- People which just finished their courses are probably ready for the work market but think they are better than they really are, mostly because they don't understand business.
- People who are investing their time in MOOCs have a great path in front of them if they don't have to be in a background in either math, statistics or development.
